This is not a book, per se, but a subscription web site. It's located at http://www.cogitations.net. Steve Youell has put this up, and has managed to talk some really high powered contributors into putting their thoughts on this magazine.
The articles are changed frequently, but you can download them to your computer for later perusal. The one that really caught my eye this week was an article that explained the truth about the Braue Notebooks, or at least clarified what they were, and weren't. Darwin Ortiz also has a well thought out column on the Next Book syndrome. You can also download his WMD notes/booklet free. And that costs almost twice the cost of the subscription. It's a bargain

I have just subscribed to this, and enjoy it. I would like to hear some thoughts on Darwin Ortiz's article the Next Book Syndrome though.

I think it's a very insightful article. Probably the best thing in Cogitations so far. But if I'd read it *before* I took my subscription out I might not have bothered....
If you see what I mean.

We voted and decided you couldn't be in the gang.
Kidding. Actually we skipped the vote.

Why? Can I have my cash back?!? Or do you rip off people with scams?

I think he was joking.
But surely you'd be better off emailing Stephen Youell or admin@cogitations or whatever than asking people at the Magic Café why you haven't got your Cogitations password? Hang on - I'm just off to make a post on the dvdworld forums to ask why you posted that question here.

It took me a couple days to get my password. No biggie.
