All depends on your balance skills.
PS: What's with the eye-lid stuff? MMMMM.....you must be new. |

It depends on if you use chinese stilts or drywall stilts. Any idiot could walk on drywall stilts the first time they try. Chinese stilts are harder to learn but they are lighter and you can walk on them longer.
A fire blow on stilts would be nice. It would keep you above the crowd and lessen the risk of hurting someone else. I'll have to try it.

I ahve attempted both eating and blasting on stilts, I use the drywall/durastilts (sorry giggles, cheating I know but it means I can stand still for longer!) The problem I found was focusing on not being burnt whilst maintaining balance even on my stilts was a bit tricky. I always have my partner with at all gigs as a minder and she had to hold my legs while I practised till I got comfortable with both. I never did get comfortable with both so I have never perfomed stilts and fire at the same time in public! It might just be me but you never know. Let me know how it turns out!

It's not that bad, but some times I have had close calls between stepping in the fuel spilt on the ground, uneven surfaces and drunks.
Eating fire is hard for me because of the tilting back kind of gets to me in a way. But what looks really good is spinning fire poi on stilts. |

I can imagine the beaty of stilts and poi. Great idea, and you avoid the obvious problem with juggling on stilts. Great idea.

Yeah, but when doing staffs and droping them, that is where the real problem starts Most of the time I'm going out there without a spotter which I know is kind of stupid but I can handle myself fairly well. (least if I remember to duck under doorways)
I wonder if I have pictures of it somewhere... |

Do you want to stand still to do an act if so buy Dura or Drywall stilts or contact Bill 'Stretch' Coleman - http://www.stiltwalker.com and ask where he gets his from. If you want a little exciting instability or want to dance on stilts then pegs are the ones. You buy at:- http://www.unicycle.fr/one_en.htm or make your own. Info on learning and most other info including building you own can be found at:- http://www.simplycircus.com/Handbooks/Eq......king.pdf I walk both 2ft and 3ft Aluminium pegs for fun - for the buzz I get from being 'high'. I go cross-country up and down steep hills and love the adrenalin rush when I get into difficulty. Remember learning to stiltwalk is quite easy but the next thing you have to learn is how to fall safely. Good luck - You must try it - its fun and you get a different look at life when you area couple of feet higher than anyone else |

Also don't forget to check the local pawn shops, BUT keep in mind to check every part on the dry wall stilts.
I managed to get mine for 125 dollars and they were still brand new. |

Hi guys what do you think of doing a backflip and breathing fire at the same time on the powerisers stilts?

Bassman from Texas did that about 4 years ago and got injured when he realized his legs were passing through the fire and it caused him to suss up the landing (and he is *amazing* on power risers and fire arts).
All spinning arts, fire and especially non, work on stilts with practice, however with fire excess fuel sprinkling down on the audience is a large concern, especially from fire breathing. The girls from Pheonix Fire Tribe in Aus have been doing some great things on stilts with fire, so have The Cabiri in Seattle, for years. However, they all tend to use aluminum peg stilts because of manueverability and the narrowness of them not getting in the way with the object manipulations.
If, of all the truths in the world, you choose one and follow it blindly, it becomes a falsehood and you a fanatic.
