Hi
I was just wandering if anyone has done a quickchange before a dove act and if it is actually possible, if done at the very beginning. Nick |

I imagine it would not be very practical to do, because you would have to load birds, make sure they didn't overheat, then put on another outfit on top of that... seems unsafe to me. Sure there are ways around it, but that my first thought.

That was my concern. I've been told by a quickchange artist it could be done but need to look at it from the birds point of view.

I've never seen it done before but I would guess that if the clothing was very light weight and the change was done immediately, you would be alright. You would have to load the doves first and put the change outfit on just before going on stage to prevent overheating as Dave said. Sounds like the beginning of an idea though. It might be worth working on.

The answer is very simple.. do the quick change but do not body load the doves. Use dove streamers, table loads and such. If done properly, the audience should not know whether they were body loaded or not.

Thanks everyone, I'm currently in contact with Matt. A quick change artist on this site, he reckons it would be possible. He can build this for me, hopefully. I'll let everyone know how it goes.
Nick That is the main concern, hence the light material. Theoretically, the lighter material should make it is easier to change. Or so I've heard. Nick |
