I am searching for the name of a particular effect, and would appreciate any help.
It uses the same principle as in Horrors in Annemman's Practical mental magic, and also is the same effect as Demon's Diviantion in Charles Jordan's Best Card Trick's. To be a bit more helpful the effect I'm talking about goes like this A spec thinks of a card, the magi shows small groups of cards, and asks if the spec sees a card of the same suit or number. The spec answers with yes or no. After doing this a few times the magi, goes through the cards and places one card aside it is the spec card. I know I said its the same as Demons Divination, but the grouping of cards are different. If you know of another effect that's similar/same, but a different name please let me know.

If I remember correctly, there is a similar effect in "Encyclopedia of Card Tricks". The name would be "The Albright Divination", by Howard Albright. It does have a typo in the order of the cards. Just check what card you haven't used in the setup while you're preparing it.
