I would suggest Mark Wilson's Complete Course in Magic. The book has a good section on rope magic with all you need to get started. More importantly, you get so much more besides the chapter on rope magic. The best news is the book is readily available for $10, or less, depending on where you look. Check it out.

If price is an important factor then you will not get the best rope book.

For the price, the Encyclopedia of Rope Magic (Dover) is cheap, is it the best? See Vinny's post!

Sharingan,

Since you live in Finland, the Dover book may be more accessable for you. It is a good book and will leave you money for more rope. You will need lots of rope before this is over. Build yourself a good 5-8 minute rope routine and learn it like the back of your hand. Life will give many opportunities to use it.

Congratulations on your 50th post. Now you can get into the Banquet Room with the secret "stuff".

Good Luck!

Bob

I don't think he really indicated just how much money he was referring to so how about giving what you concider to be a great first rope book period and he can look at the prices to determine the best for him. It would also help others that may be thinking of doing rope.

Just a thought.
