Banachek did not invent D'Lites. I'm not sure if even Rocco did. Okay, maybe the red ones.

Ok, I think I've finally sussed it!
However, true to form I will NOT be divulging what it actually is or does. Sorry. Bobser (the keeper of secrets).

The best part of Banachek's wonderful product is the three page "Bonus Routine" included with the instructions. I would have paid $50 for this alone! Talk about an encore piece! And it can be done with anybody's car keys, not just the performer's!!!

It seems as though Derren Brown's name hasn't been mentioned yet in this thread (it seems to crop up somehow in every single other thread) so:
Will Banachek's device replace Derren's parrot?

OK, Ladies and Gentlemen. Listen up.
Some of you know EXACTLY what Paolo is referring to, and others of you have no clue whatever. This is just another example of mentalists baiting Magic Café members (although I would never have expected such behaviour from Paolo). You have seen this before. A "mentalist" announces publicly on the Magic Café that he or she is starting a message board open to anyone seriously interested in mentalism. And before you can say "Ted Annemann," the board is closed down because there is "too much" interest. Or a "mentalist" starts posting on the Magic Café, singing the praises of some product or book. When readers ask where they can purchase the product, they are told "It is no longer available -- YOU can't get it." I don't mean to paint all mentalists with the same brush (I particularly like Banachek and Max Maven, to name just two very different personalities), but there is a subgroup within the overall mentalist category that enjoys "lording it over" those not admitted to their inner sanctum. OK? Last, the "behaviour" you so seriously attribute to some of us, has nothing to with baiting other Mentalists (my original intention at least was another one) but now, the thread has taken this way... and I feel it is superflous to comment of what the device was. Steve knows I was not joking. I really loved his simple device over many other *expensive* and PROPPISH devices of that kind... Bye
Then you'll rise right before my eyes, on wings that fill the sky, like a phoenix rising!

If a mentalist raves about a book that's out of print and another mentalist wants to read it, the first mentalist simply looks at one word at a time and the other mentalist picks it up mentally, it's like doing a very very long book test. The other way to pass on the info without copyright problems is to write the book out on a huge sheet of paper (often within the confines of a really big circle in the middle), fold it in half and in half again then tear it all up and burn it. This instantly transmits the information to the other mentalist. And you wonder why we're called MENTALists |

Whoa.
Now I am really confused, but intrigued. Could you please provide some sort of information on what this device is or what it does? I am not very experienced in mentalism, but do wish to learn. If it is inappropriate to discuss in a general forum, please let us know. If that is the case then I (at least) will refrain from speculation. Thank you. 0pus |

I love you guys. By the way, I also invented PDF files so as a result they were only available from me back in those years. Unfortunatly Adobe, hacked my computer and the rest was history As for the Congo, do you still have the baby gorilla that who was orphaned as a result?
As for the device, I now have it in red, blue and black and it is now rechargable. I still do not make them but the plans are available.

Yeah you do them in all colors but giraffes in the UK are slightly smaller than the US version (is this why you supplied green batteries?) I had to use a spot of magicians wax and the spring from the inside of a ball-point pen to get my device to fit properly. Saying that it works a treat. |

Steve's with me right now (Banacheck & Bobser,... I like it!). We should have the first batch ready to go early in May. And now we've even got 'em in tartan. Albeit we're having slight trouble with the wire that attaches itself to the sporran gimick. Ah well, it's the life we chose-eh?
