Spoke with John Bannon last week and I am thrilled to report that his newest book will be released on June 12 in time for LVMI. I, for one, can't wait. I've seen many of the new effects over the past couple of years and the material is outstanding. I think John will be putting up a website with additional information. I'll keep you posted.

Anything by legends like Vernon, Ascanio, Jennings, Tamariz etc get me pumped and primed. Those are names I know won't dissapoint me!
I have a couple of things "in the hopper" myself that I hope to have on the market within the next twelve months. "With a Little Help from My Friends" is a compilation book I've been working on, that will have a few of my own previously unpublished routines as well as routines by many of my friends in magic. It is in the spirit of Thompson's "My Best" and Lorayne's "Best of Friends." Among the contributors are: • Larry Becker • Euan Bingham • Aldo Colombini • Marc DeSouza • David Eldridge • Dan Fleshman • Paul Green • Ray Grismer • Paul Hallas • Hideo Kato • John Luka • Peter Marucci • David Neighbors • Jeff Pierce • Lance Pierce • Mike Powers • Michael Sibbernsen • Bernard Sim • Randy Wakeman • Thomas Wayne • Andrew Wimhurst • Steven Youell Plus many others, both "names" and "unknowns." This is going to be a wonderful book with lots of great magic by great people, and I am speaking with a major book dealer about publishing it in a nice hardbound format. I am also hoping to put out a book on the magic of Ray Grismer. For those who don't know him, he was a student of Dai vernon, and the only guy Vernon ever said improved on Erdnase. The hallmarks of Ray's material are ease of execution and devastating impact. He started the finger ring and rope craze, and his card and mentalism effects are top notch. LOADS of his stuff has NEVER been published, and the stuff that has been is scattered throughout a couple of videos, several lecture notes, a number of magazines from quite some time ago and a few marketed effects. My goal is to put out a big, beautiful, complete book of Ray's stuff so that this underground legend will get the recognition he deserves! I've got him about half-way talked into doing a book. I hope to get him all the way there in the near future. So I am very excited about both of those projects--one ongoing, the other potential.
