Does anyone know where I would be able to find a decent set of plans?

Try MarK Wilson's Magic Course (The Black Book) In the illusion chapter you will find basic workshop drawings and dimensions.

You might also try Paul Osbourne's website.

Which I think is :

http://hamiltonholtinc.site.yahoo.net/

Hope this helps put you on the right track. I am sure other helpful info will soon be forth-coming from the great patrons of The Magic Café.

Good Luck,

The above Osborne Web site does work and the below redirects to that site:

http://www.osborneillusionsystems.com/

A direct link to his Tip-Over Plans:

For a nice looking tip over box builder check out George Richbark Tipover Boxes

For as simple an illusion as it appears this effect can be one of those Hair Pulling experiences... take your time and be exceptionally patient!

You may try to check into the Lee Grabel version of this effect... it's rather unique. I used it for a small set of double chests in my version of "Where Do the Duck Go?" (a.k.a. The Great Duck Escape) long ago.

The one thing I do highly recommend is that you consider the Dble. Trunk design in that it allows you to work the effect more in the round than the original design. For this, you may check with Owen's magic and see if Allen will sell a copy of the workshop plans (the dbl. trunks I believe is an Owen development... memory serving me correctly.)

Thanks for all the responces.
I am looking to build my own because I am producing an item that I would imagine to be larger then any ones I have seen.
