Hi guys,
I've just taken a gig at a place actually named 'The Pit' (in 5 days so I don't have a GREAT deal of time). And because as you know I'm very witty (oh yes I am) I thought of doing some 'Pit and Pendulum' mentalism based on Chevreul's yes/no concept which, as no doubt most of you will know, is used for illiciting a clear and convincing ideo-motor response. I was wondering if any of you might give me any pointers to where I might find some ideas on this, other than the obvious: "whatever you think 'it' tells me". Even directions as to where I can find the stuff. Many thanks, Bobser.

Also George Andersons Magic Pendulum book, its hard to find but if you can get one second hand it will detail a whole load of stuff including methods to have the pendulum swing without touching it.
Failing that, as Michael said the banachek book is incredible and also has a whole section on the pendulum plus more. Curt

The best pendulum routine I can think of is the one form Brad Henderson, at the end of The Dance.

Look up Ed Solomon and Bro. Shadow... I believe they both have some routines along these lines... If I recall correctly Bro. Shadow actually makes a wooden Pendulum that opens up so you can place billets or small items into it the way it was done in Victorian times.

Séance also has something to that effect. You use a locket and put the message question or name inside. Then you make contact. And if you are a clever fellow you get the name as part of the communication.
Good luck Jim |

Actually Jack I'm not that clever. Maybe you could just tell me the name... no?
Many thanks all. Bobser.
