I had a dream the other night about this, dont know if it will play well or not, or even if it would work. You introduce a tape player or small disc player and ask the spectator to think of any song they want. You either read their mind or have them tell you the song. You then push play on the tape player, and the song is played. As of now I have very few ideas on this. I dont want to use equivoque but I think a limited choice could work. Have a laminated card of about 50 songs to chose from, they think of one, then it plays when you push play. Any thoughts

Yes, it's possible, I have thought of at least one method to do this with a restricted choice. This can't be described here, as this forum is not meant for that, people are invited to suggest ways to bring out an effect in Triple Dare which is only available in the 'Secret Sessions'.
I am sure there are some, what are described as, 'underground' methods to do, (you won't be made privy to these) this more cleanly than what I have thought - and to be able to do it with just one tape. Here we go and mention his name again, but just an example of what *can* be achieved. Derren Brown has an 'effect' where he asks a participant to imagine they've gone to a video store and chosen a tape to rent. The participant names it and Derren reaches into the paper bag and produces the exact video named. Paul Zenon (? was it him) has a trick where a CD is selected from a CD rack containing 50 different CDs or so. Participant selects one of the CDs then he pulls out a video of something he recorded previously. The video contains a scene of him doing a parachute jump and he pulls out the exact CD chosen from inside his jump suit. The way he does it is clever, (if you use your brain creatively you devise a similar plot that achieves exactly the same thing) and once again I do not feel I'm at liberty to expose how it was done. So to come to the crunch the concept is not new really and it's possible. Regards, Kris Sheglova
The above is all rubbish, except that which you chose to believe
