I am Looking for a bell for Bro. Shadows effect valley of the bells. I have found alot on ebay but they are solid brass. Will a magnet still work for his effect?

If the bell is all brass, no it will not work. Brass because of its metal content will not work with magnets. Now if the clapper (the ball on the chain) is steel and you have a really strong magnet, then it may work. But I doubt it. The magnet may have to be to big to be practical.

I have a 3" brass bell (2" bell - 1" handle) that I bought from a small candle/gift shop. It makes a good noise. The clapper will adhere to a 1/2" by 1/8" giMmick very well. I can swing the bell very easily and forcefully without breaking the attraction. The giMmick is so small, it is very easy to use. I'm surprised at how well it works. Put a few layers of electrical tape around the giMmick so it deadens the sound of them joining together.
