You could do a dollhouse effect with a small chimney. Then after you construct it, you could put a miniature Santa in the chimney demonstrating how Santa gets down them, then the life-sized Santa could appear. You could also levitate Santa after he appears. Magic Makers make an appearing Christmas tree that looks really cool. Here's the link to that: http://gerryfrenette.tripod.com/newindex.htm
If you do Hospitality, you could have one of the drinks be eggnog. If you want something really big, you could appear Santa's sled with, or without the reindeer. I'm sure there are other illusions that could be used for Christmas themed tricks. Hope this helps... Dylan |

The new snow animator is dressed up like a present so sounds perfect.

I just bought an animated mounted deer head...a 10 point buck. His head moves, his mouth moves, and his ears move. As I was contemplating how to get "Buck" into my show, I came up with converting him to Rudolph by putting on a red nose. What makes "Buck" a possible performer is that he can also be controlled remotely via a wireless microphone that comes with him. When you talk into the mic, his mouth moves. He could be the EMCEE or do card tricks. But instead of you talking into the mic, have his parts prerecorded or have someone offstage make buck talk. He has an output for his sound so you don't have to rely on the internal speaker for him to be heard. Anyway, I saw him at Spenders and thought he would be a great addition to my act someday. I got him just 2 days ago and I am not sure how long these may be available. The cost is $150 USD and you can currently buy him online HERE
BTW, this is a full size mounted deer head, not a miniature. His antlers come off if you'd like to change to reindeer antlers instead. He also has a remote control to animate his movements of his head and his ears. This means he can actually turn to talk to you, regardless of which side you stand on. I can't wait to get him into my show, which has comedy interlaced into the magic. |
