Having never used flash paper, I have a question.

With a Jermay effect in mind (how much can I say on an open forum?), can one purchase paper similar in appearance and texture to flash paper? As I believe flash paper is quite distinctive in its appearance and texture.

Thanks alot,
Tom

It looks a bit like parchment paper bro....
That can be found at many crafts stores, new age stores or even magic shops...

I always cut my flash paper down to rolling paper size and "pull" it out of the packet... they never suspect a thing.

That's a really great touch man, that's quite ingenious. Thanks again, you're so much help! Tom.

When I asked Luke about the same thing, he said tracing paper.

I love flash paper such a visual effect. I use flash string as well. My favourite effect involves wrapping a deck of cards in flash paper and tying it up with flash string and lighting the string like a fuse.

It does look unusual though which I think is offputting. However, I am careful which effects I use it in. i.e. I don't use it an effect where I want my audience to think it is real paper.

Flash paper is one of my best friends I keep them in rolling paper sized pieces and I keep them in a card wallet. I have never had any suspicion of it being magic paper unless I suggested it before hand. Fun stuff.
