I want to adapt a Cocktail shaker tin to a chop cup. Can anyone point me in the right direction to aquiring the gimmick, or how to stick it in there invisibly and securely... preferably hygenically too! The tins I use/have are 22oz with the weight on the bottom, no rim on the top, made from stainless steel.
Or is there a company that can do this for me? Paul |

I think that you need an insert that fits inside snugly up to the rim and has space for the gimmick. You're probably looking at machine shop to get the insert and then have the edge of shaker flared and fused. This would probably be some serious cash, I'd honestly check out what you can get on the Net premade. The gimmick is fairly common, I'll PM about it if you want.
May your fingers never lose their deftness,
May your tongue always lead them down the garden path... Regards, Whiterabbit |
