I'm new here on the board and very excited to here back from some fellow conjurers!

Slowly...I'm performing more and more corporate engagements. I was recently asked to make a company logo appear in a puff of smoke. I have a flashpot, but have no idea what to use or how to produce the logo. Copperfield had some type of production board he used on SNL. Any suggestions??? Also, I was checking out the new Gift Surprise illusion by Anton Corradin. These seems like a great way to produce a CEO but I fear it wouldn't be able to handle the weight. Any suggestions on other simple production boxes, etc. for Corporate heads?

Thanks!

Check out Grant's Victory Carton Illusions for some simple, inexpensive, and effective ways to produce a person.
Also Karrell Fox's book -- Another Book by Karrell Fox, I believe -- has several ways to produce/introduce company spokespeople and logos/names.

I know this is an old topic, but is Karrell's book still available? I searched, but couldn't find it.

There has been a lot of talk about Bryce's Screen lately. From what I understand, that is a great way to produce a CEO. It should also be easy to customize for each show by decorating it with company logos.

Check out JC Sum's book "Illusionary Departures".

http://www.illusionbooks.com/

There is an illusion contained within that specifically deals with producing a company logo. "Branded" on page 103.

JC is a member here on the boards, or you can contact him through his website above.

Tyler,

Check with H&R Magic Books:

http://www.magicbookshop.com/

Or Bradbury Books and Beyond :

http://www.bradburybooks.com/

Actually a quick search of Bradbury shows that they are currently (as of 03/02/05) listing a copy
of Fox's Another Book on their General Magic page :

http://www.bradburybooks.com/genmagic.htm

26822. Fox, Karrell. ANOTHER BOOK. Bideford, Supreme Magic, 1979. 320pp., illus., 4to. Cloth in dj. Near fine. 28.00

The books are listed alphabetical by author name , so scroll down to the F's .

Magicguy88,

Years ago for a TV spot I had the same problem. Ultimately, we used balloons with the copy on it. The balloon was substituted for the rabbit in a Chalet doves to rabbit. It worked fine. However, for TV Commercials you get to use the zoom lense. I don't know your staging situtation.

On stage, use a motor cycle vanish and have the logo on the sides of the box that falls.

Good Luck!

Bob

I have used a large silk with a logo to produce up to 6 CEO's. You should find it under a search by my name in my favorite appearances. I think this is the proper link .
