I think I have seen an answer to this question before, but as I try to extend the restaurant analogy, I am stumpped by the "rank" issue. Why are there ranks at the Café? Maybe if the Café were a military operation . . .

That's actually an easy question to answer Tiki.
When I was first setting the Café up, the software listed the ranking system and for the lack of a better idea, I simply made up some various titles that members would receive depending on their post count. Those rankings really don't mean too much, other then to showcase the various members who have posted here for a long time. Hope this helps.
