I'm making a sit down table similar to Jim Zee's. Does anyone know where I can get a Close up mat That measures 24" by 36". that's the perimeter of the table.

Try automotive headliner. It comes in a variety of colors and a few different textures. Some local fabric stores carry it for relatively cheap.

Another alternative is to order a large piece of neoprene.
