I'd love to see some footage of the old masters.
All I came up with on the internet was something by Cardini: http://www.magicshane.com/magician/video......dini.htm Fred Kaps: http://www.fredkapsdvd.com/ I guess there's not much on say Max Malini as he died in 1942, but maybe somebody does have something? |

One of these days, I will get streaming
video of my dad...especially old Bozo clips because I am soo excited to have found the canister of him doing "Goldilocks and the 3 Bears" and that's priceless. And I its something that not everyone has ever seen.

The SAM maintains a lending library of films of magic - including Most of the old masters (post 1920's), so, unfortunatly, No Hermann or Kellar, but Blackstone, Cardini, Dante etc are all there. I find it sad that so much is lost. I would love to have seen The Great Lafayette.

Almost nothing - and nothing on P2P networks either. I guess noone has converted films to digital...yet.

I have converted some old Super 8s of Ed Marlo taken in my mother's kitchen in the '70s, long before he did any others that are now on the market. There's also some of my dad Art Weygandt who hung around with the likes of Jack Gwynne, and also Steve Draun and Dave Solomon, however masterly they be, they may not be old enough yet and still alive to fit comfortably in this category.
But Ed certainly does, so you can check that at http://www.chicagoroundtable.com. I wish I had more. But some are lost, and my mother was never a good photographer! |

I've downloaded the Cardini video, but it's on wmv, and it doesn't seem to work on my Mac computer. Anyone know how I can play a wmv video on my Mac? I've been waiting all my life to see cardini in action!

That card manipulation with the gloves on blew me away. A class act, wish we had more like him today!

Search "magic" "magician" or by the name of the performer. http://www.britishpathe.com |
