Ok guys,
I have an idea I've been working on. I ask a spectator to think of a card, then squeeze the deck, spread the cards, and show their cardd is gone. I offer them an explanation, saying that card experts can sleeve a card from thee deck. However, as I am not wearing sleeves, I have developed a way to force the card under the skin, to have the same effect. Obviously they do not believe me, so I pull a knife out, and start cutting into my arm, reach under the flap of skin, and pull out a bloody card, before turning it over to reveal it is their thought of card. Obviously a psychological force is used, with the card missing from the deck, however, I know little about the fake skin/blood side of things - so I am asking those more experienced in the bizarre side of magic to help me with the best products for this, and whethre they think it would be feasable. Many thanks, Simon |

About 20 years ago I did a punk rock type character that ate a chosen card, giving the spectator the corner of said card (after it was bit off)for later identification. I used a Butterfly styled knife (for drama) and slashed my forearm open... you could see my fingers moving beneath the skin as blood flowed... ultimately I bring out a rather worn playing card that's missing a corner... a corner that matches the bite I gave the patron. It was called "Card in Magician" and it fairly well documented.
I do believe you will find it outlined in my THAT'S GROSS series @ the Magic Bunny's "TOP HAT" eZine (I'm pretty certain I placed it there about a year ago.) Best of luck! CB |
