The only place I've seen it was on his video.
The special cards makes this imposible to recreate. Its a nice trick but not as unusual now as it was when he developed it. |

I have two sets made by him and they are terrific. I think Gary Plants also makes them. As to the peculiarity of the effects, I would say that there have been several similar effects (Bruce Cervon's "Dirty Deal" was based on "Dazzle", for instance, and Derek also had a version...), and the idea of a datebook for a revelation certainly comes from the "Dazzle Act", but there isn't any one thing that re-creates this astonishing act in its' entirety. Elmsley BAFFLED the greatest minds in magic when he toured with this act/lecture in the seventies. Just ask some of the lucky guys who were there! I have a complete transcript of a recording of the lecture, as he gave it, back then. I also have the private notes of several well-known magicians who were stunned by the material, as well as the notes that were used to reconstruct everything for the books, and the original draft of the write-up for the book, as well as the final version as it appeared in the book. I am a "Dazzle" nut, as you can tell! So, it IS NOT impossible to re-create, but it is an entire ACT, and it requires a significant investment in time and energy, not to mention a modest monetary investment for the cards ($50.00, last time I checked...). I doubt that there are five people in the entire magic world that are prepared to PERFORM this as Elmsley released it, so if you actually invest the time and money you'll have something no one else is doing!
