There is a section on Wilsons new dvd's where he is about to perform it and some women grabs the money from him. He recovers and grabs it back before anything was revealed but WOW that was a close one.

I'm learning this trick right now to add to my street and walk around routines. I think it's a great effect regardless of the denomination but the 100's are definitely flashier and the patter seems to have been built around them.
As far as the display goes, I don't have a problem ending dirty but I do have a problem when the magician is working with multiple items and allows them all to be examined except one...you might as well have a sign stapled to your forehead saying"this one is the secret one". If you watch Gregory's video very closely you will notice that several of the spectators are really eyeng that last bill. I think that it's only his rapid fire presentation that prevents anyone from saying anything. As far as the response goes, it got great responses from some people and not so great from others(The cops did not seem, in my opinion, all that excited)I have gotten the same results from card warp and the color changing deck when performing on the street. To sum up...I'm learning it which tells you that I like it but I definitely won't b handing anything out. |

Right now 3D Cash is just too expensive for me to "waste" money on making the packet. The first time I made it, some of the bills would stick too far out of the packet. This kind of made me sour to the whole effect. Eventually I will give 3D Cash another go, but for now it's in my DVD collection.

As long as your different demominations are the same size are your bills are rectangular, it should work.

Why not trim, precisely with an exacto knife, the edge of the bills so that they don't stick out. Or take the time to make a really nice gimmick. It is in the craftsmanship. Blame the builder not the materials ;-)

I've made up Hundy, but rarely perform it because most of the time I feel a little strange flashing several hundred dollars around to people. Not that I worry about someone wanting to steal or jump me, but because I feel a bit like I'm showing off "look how much money I have" esp. when performing to audiences I know aren't as privileged.
Does anyboy else feel the same way or is it just me? I really like Carl's post with the 2's as an alternative. |

I use 1$ to 2$ talking about the fastest way to double your money. I fold the ones over and say "see, I doubled my money! I say, not very impressive huh? how about this, as I turn them into two dollar bills. Many folks don't realize you can still get two dollar bills. I am sure $1's to $100's is better, but $1's to $2's works pretty well also.

My friends,
Hundy 500, 3-D Cash, and Slow Burn are all really Patrick Page's "Easy Money." Page invented it and should get the credit. It grieves me that "Hundy 500" is becoming the generic name for the effect. Greg Wilson got permission from Page and credits him on the DVD. We should all follow his lead. Mark Allen did take it a step further, but it's just an obvious variation of "Easy Money." That said, I will jump in and mention that I use the 1's to 100's, although I do try to use some common sense in where I do it. What I like about it is not just the impact, but the fact that Greg Wilson has come up with the "perfect" out when people want to handle the money. His line is: "I'd let you do that, but I don't have my running shoes on." I don't use that exact line, as it fits Greg a lot better than it fits me, but the basic concept is that you're not going to fork over 500 bucks to strangers. It is a perfectly good reason why you don't let them handle it. I like the handling that Mark Allen uses, and while I don't use his two changes of bills concept, I use his handling. It's truly not difficult, but perhaps a bit harder than the others. The Slow Burn Change looks good, but theres no reason, after the change occurs to fold the now flat packet of bills in half, and then immediately unfold them in the counting. If any of you has a good reason for doing this, I'd love to hear it, because the change itself is very visual. I also do a little trimming of the bills with a razor knife. When you originally make the gimmick, it's trickey the get the alignment absolutely perfect, but easy to trim the little bit that you might be off. I also shorten the non gimmicked bills just a bit, which helps hide the gimmick. I think I will make up another set with the 1's to 2's so that I can use in in places where I might be concerned about being mugged. It won't have the impact, but the line about "doubling" your money makes a lot of sense. For those of you that are "into" having things examined, it's easy enough to switch the entire packet. Have the ungaffed set in your pocket with your wallet. Bring out your wallet at the end, but the ungaffed bills underneath and do the under the wallet switch. Dennis Loomis

It uses -and this is well known- , coloured papersnips from magazins, and my motivation/patter re this is to ask them if they travel a lot and how difficult and dangerous it can be to travel with cash. ("here is a tip" aso.) Instead of this, I've here these papersnips of absolutely no value and when needed I simply transfer them into real bills. I must admit, I too go for high valued bills, but the venues I perform at are *private*, so there is no risk re getting mugged , also, the mentioned presentation gives the motivation to fastly again tranform the cash back to papersnips. ("off to the road again"), so it makes sense to transfer the cash again back to paperclips..actually even Fred Kaps did end up with papersnips... The Greg Wilson presentation though is very good and powerfull as is his handling, but, TBH, I've done this great thingy for so many years, I stick to it and will not use a *one value to another* transformation, though the presentations mentioned here make sense, especially the *doubling the money*-theme..and here one too could use a bit larger bills then just one $ pieces.

Its a shame that so few know that Hundy, Slow Burn, 3D cash... are variants of Page's. I imagine if you ask a lot of younger guys they'd say "who's he?"
Unfortunately I don't have a solution to aid this other than letting people know as Dennis has. |

To Werner,
The Pat Page version predates the Fred Kaps one, and it's well known that Kaps was aware of the Page version. What I DON'T like about starting with blank pieces of paper or papers cut from magazines or newspapers is that it tells the audience that you're prepared something. If you took the time to carefully cut out papers the size of money, then it's not much of a stretch to think that you might have also done some gluing, pasting, or taping. When you start with just a few bills, it looks totally impromptu. Patrick Page may be the most knowledgable magician on the planet. And, he's a worker... out there doing real shows for real people most of his life. To Almost-a-magician: Thanks for the flattering comment, but I'm certainly not a genius. Just a working magician that noticed a problem and came up with a little "fix." But, I'm glad it helps. Dennis Loomis

I got the 3 D cash version, but changed the gimmick to what I imagine is the Hundy Gimmick.
This nearly normal guy uses 1 to 5's. I thought of going monopoly money to ??? but have not made it up yet. Any other nearly normal versions?(besides Pages paper to...) Harris
