I enjoy watching street performers. I am in Harvard square and I've heard that it's a major spot for street magicians, but I've only come across a couple of shows.
Is there usually anything going on at this time of year, or do I have to wait until the summer (which would be too bad since I won't be around during the summer)? |

Harvard Square has an active street scene in the warm weather. The strength of the scene comes from strong history of street performing in Cambridge (which started back in the mid-seventies). Compared to most US cities, which either don't allow street performers, or where performers are assumed to be beggers or street hustlers, Cambridge is a great place to see performers of all types (not necessarily magic).
But the nature of street performers is that there is no set schedule. If you want to catch a show, wait for the warm weather (over 60 in the evenings) and go out and walk around. Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you don't. If you want a guarantee, book a magician for your college, your frat, your club. I know at least one very good act in the area. Thanks Peter. Also, your online video is hilarious!!!
Another great thing about the Square is that the Mystery Lounge has a magic show every Tuesday night. |

Funny, funny stuff on the video!
I laughed out loud through it all. I have always loved the paper balls over the head, and the watch steals were pricesless. Not to mention the other video of the FLying Rodents....All of it is just too funny for words.... Now, after seeing the knife juggling, I know how you keep so closely shaven! BroDavid
