Hi Mr. Kato,
I was looking at the video posted here by walsall About the first post, it could be done it thousands of different ways, the magician handles the last pack to the spectator Marc |

If the magician wrote the prediction after specator shuffled the deck, he can glimpse the top card and predict it.
But Chad Sanborn-san wrote that spectator shuffle the deck after the magician wrote the prediction. If you must obey this condition, there are not many methods. Oneway Forcing Deck is not used in the video walsal-san posted as the woman dealt the cards face up. Hideo Kato |

Kato-san, in Chad Sanborn-san, the card predicted may not be in the deck when the magician hands it first to the spectator and it can magically appear on top the last time is handed . Too much handling for my taste though
Someone said that a force is used in that video, I don't think the card is forced, the only way the card could be forced is if he used a one way, but, because she is dealing face up, that's not possible!! So, if it's not a one-way, it's not a force, or I don't think so. :D |

True it is used as a reval, but could be used as a force

Yes, marc_carrion would appear to be correct. Just hold out the force card until you hand the final spectator the remaining cards.

Of course you can steal the force card in the begining and add it before the last deal. (It seems very classical method). If I am allowed to change the effect a little, I have two alternate methods.
1.After the first spectator deal the cards, shuffle the cards and bring the force card to top and hand the packet to the second spectator. Repeat it to the last. 2.Spectator and magician do dealing alternately. Magician always do ****** deal. Thanks for the inspiration. (No.131). Hideo Kato |

I can't see any other way than it being a force, as the other way would require them to cut a card into a field, as she flew up impractical and near if not impossible. Correct? Nick |

No Nick, there are other options And no, it's not having 52 fields
For what I see in the video, there is NO WAY that the card was forced, and as Sherlock Holmes, said, when you eliminate the impossible the rest, regardless how improbable it looks, it must be the true. When trying to think about a new effect or look for improvements on an old one, you should always use lateral thinking, forget anything you think you know and look the problem from a totally different angle! Marc PS: Nick, maybe you are right and there is a force but it was edited from the video, I don't know, but it doesn't look like. |

Thanks for the inspiration. (No.131). Kato-san, do you keep ideas numbered? I tried to do the same, but I haven't get to it yet Does it help? is it easier for you to remember old ideas in this way? I hope one day you can share all these pieces of inspiration, maybe with some published notes Marc |

I save all posts I posted in Magic Café in my computer. Numbering is to check if I have saved all posts including my ideas. If you search in Magic Café, you will find about 350 tricks of mine so far. (Half of them are garbage though. But from them, I sold 20 tricks to Tenyo for their mobile phone site and best 5 tricks to a noted magician for TV use).
