It has dice stacking, cups and balls, tons of sight gags, funny lines.
The guy is very very talanted. The guy swallows a lit candle, balances a lit match on his nose. This is killer material for a street worker. KILLER.

Best I've seen in a long time. Am I just behind the times here???????

Danny had a great interview with him, I think it was posted on his buskers website. I agree, Charlie is the man! Rumor has it that a third dvd is being planned, as is a book. He also has a great website, and makes some killer shells for the 3 shell game.

Charlie Frye is a third generation entertainer, busker, and clown. He studied at the Ringling Brother's Clown College. He's been entertaining his way around the world for twenty years or so. His magic "chops" are as good as they come, but he's not really into the "magic scene" and although he will occasionally drop in on Gary Darwin's Wednesday night meetings in Las Vegas, he tends to keep his distance from other magicians. He's good friends with Earl "Mr. Clown" Chaney, who taught him at the Clown College, and last time I was in Earl's shop I saw a photo of Charlie in his clown makeup with Dick Van Dyke, Earl, and the rest of the Ringling Clown family.

I've seen his shells and personally didn't like them. They look good on camera, but close up they look nothing like real shell. They're hand molded out of some sort of sculpting clay and a few grooves are carved in to help with the grip. They work great as far as handling goes, they just don't look enough like real shells for my taste.

Ah yes, I am a big fan of the style of Charlie Frye. If you dig this sort of vaudeville comedy, you must check out the movie, "Funny Bones". Although there is a dark side to the film, it is full of the practically extinct "vaudeville/music hall" comedy that inspires some of us. Lee Evans is absolutely brilliant in his comedy sketches as well as his acting...if the awards system was sane, he would have certainly won "best actor" instead of the sort of Titanic/sparticus empty spectacles that win. As it is, practically no one has ever heard of this brilliant film. Kudos to Lee Evans and kudos to Charlie Frye....rare and wonderful talents.

OMG! THAT IS A BRILLIANT MOVIE!!!!

It is a little long, but it is absolutely fantastic! Everybody here should run out and see it.

Even though I recommended it, I forgot he had his C&B routine on it. I re-watched it this morning. It's great! For someone who wants some C&B ideas that are not based on Vernon, they gotta see this!

I absolutely loved it. Cups looked nice too.

His timing, delivery, etc. was phenominal. You don't see to many videos
with no spectators and have them be entertaining.

Charlie is the best. He spent a lot of time with the greatest clown to ever grace the planet with his over sized footstep George Carl. If you have never seen the movie Funny Bones you should rent it just to see a snippet of the magic that this guy created with his physical comedy.

Charlie is a great magician and juggler, chops galore in both fields. He is also one of the best physical comedians working today. The guy really has it all. An entertainers entertainer that kills lay people and those in the know a like.

Those Charlie Frye DVDs really afffected me in a serious way.
I'm not sure how to describe it.

For one, it makes me feel like I'm 100 years behind in practice.
But there's more than that.

That guy just has it all together.

He is figuratively balancing comedy with wit, and silly, seriousness, and sheer skill. It's a combo you just don't see anywhere.

I think I'm going to go practice some "table crap".

.... but first I'm going to check out his website.
