I am posting this because I am in a grumpy mood. Has anyone any experience with the "Long Salt Pour" marketed exclusively by Hocus Pocus? It received rave reviews on this board by founder Steve Brooks, but I just can’t help but think that a $300.00 price tag is way over the line.
I really don't care how precision made the device is; it is an effect that can basically be copied with a TT, some popcorn salt and a steady hand. Unless there is a rubber tube up the sleeve connected to a 55 gallon drum strapped to your back, I just don't see this effect justifying this price. After all how long must the salt pour from one's hand before people stop looking at their watches and look for an excuse to leave? If someone can put me back on track, I'd appreciate hearing from you. Otherwise I guess I'll be "grumpified" for a while longer yet - maybe 'till the salt runs out. Frank Tougas

You need to see the video.
You get more than just the gimmick. You couldn't possibly do the routine that Koz does with a TT. If you could get the closest thing to what Koz sells you for this, it would be the extra large Paul Fox gimmick. The last time one of those came up for sale on an auction, it went for more than $400.00. This one holds that much. But in addition to the gimmick, you get performance rights for Koz's routine. And the instructions are exhaustive. I have a small collection of salt pour gimmicks. This one is quite special.
