After a few days of thinking... diverting from the scary stuff...
this one I come up with... I hope I've got this one to trigger some emotions... I have this friend who was too overwhelm by her ambitions. that she would do anything just to get that promotion, even she had to step on somebody else. I was worried about her, I showed her a card with a symbol in it. I then asked do you believe in karma? this image symbolizes karma, as you can see the circle here anything you do either good or bad will come back to you... I want you too imagine that you have seven gold coins... then a charitable institution for little angels ask for a donation. I believe that you are a kindhearted person, probably you won't give just one coin and of course you won't give all of your coins. how many gold coins you would give for the institution? she answered three... oh not bad so you would give this three imaginary gold coins... well I going to put this coins under this card and let karma decide what may come back to you... and as I lift the card three gold coins were found underneath... I want you to keep those coins to remind you... how wonderful you are... remember it isn't only for money that people live... so what you think? well it isn't really a gold coin, you know those chocolates gold coins |

Great idea. You could extend the routine with a matrix effect, too, making the coins vanish for various reasons (good/bad deeds), ulitmately ending up completely gone or all together under the last card (determining your audience's ultimate fate. Just a thought...

Sinnead zenun – I like the story and the effect. However, if you wish to get the maximum impact from it, then if I were you, I wouldn’t present it as a trick or performance piece. Instead, this is the sort of thing that should be built into a conversation. If you want to get through to a person about their actions, then initiate such a conversation by asking “what’s going on” or “how are things going?” In time, if such problems or struggles are on the persons mind then this will be communicated. Listen to what’s being said, then gently guide the conversation towards the subject of karma (using what’s available to draw the symbol - much better than bringing out a card). Explain the concept and symbol without getting too preachy, continuing on the way you have described. But instead of saying, “well I’m going to put this coins under this card and let karma decide what may come back to you”. Say something more like “imagine how you would feel if you knew that what you gave out came back to you. Well, that’s what karma does (point to the image). Everything put out eventually is returned, even our very thoughts.” Resist the urge to display the coins under the card/paper/napkin/whatever. Let the conversation meander, listening to what is being said, commenting, questioning, and listening along its progression. If you feel the conversation is coming to an end, encourage the person to take the card/paper/napkin/whatever as a reminder of the discussion for further contemplation. If they choose not to, you can pick it up and put or throw it away yourself. Don’t make a big thing about the coins appearing. If they are or are not noticed by the viewer, then wait a beat or two, look down and say “ oh, I believe these are yours”. If you are doing this in the person’s home, one on one, then you could simply leave the whole thing where it is, knowing that in time the coins will be discovered. When they are, the magic will be grasped and the conversation remembered.
Very few performance pieces can easily be incorporated into conversations without force or too much contrivance. This is one that I would urge you to not cheapen by turning it into a trick or a part of a series of tricks. Just a note: If you decide to present "Karma" the way I have suggested, please don’t let anyone see you take out and/or eat any chocolate coins before or after you perform. Remember, the illusion must be maintained.

Thank you very much moonlit knight for a very good insight
I've already tried this one last night, and the lady hugged and thanked me for reminding her... ah what a good feeling to ease someone's burden... |

Very nice Sinnead, I think you are onto something with Karma. Moonlit Knight has good insight on this too, keep the "happening" part of the mystique, Karma manifests itself in many ways, what is of value to one may not be to another, so in some ways anything is possible. For the followers of the Rede, one gets the times three effect, that could be harder to handle, but still interesting to try!
All the best in refining it, sounds like a great start k
