Can anyone help me? I want to know where I can learn some good card flourishes. Right now I know Springing, One hand Fanning and the Swiverloo Cut. So can anyone help me? Thank you in advance.

Do you want to learn fans, changes, productions, cuts, or all of the above? Once I know the specific area, I can better help you.

Hi WMC_Alex,
To learn flourishes you can buy the book by Jerry Cestkowski's "Encyclopedia of Card Flourishes" http://www.flourishman.com This IS the most thorough resource on the subject, you can't go wrong with it. Or if you prefer videos, here is a list of what is out there: -PasteBoards Animations by the Buck Twins (Good stuff! But frankly it is not very well explained, and the video only lasts 25 minutes.) check Here! -Show Off 1 & 2 by Brian Tudor (very good stuff, but volume 1 is sold out and in order to learn most of his stuff in volume 2 you need to do the "One-Hand Revolution #1" which is explained in volume 1....) -Card Flourishes by Paul Tejera. Very good and well explained, mostly basic and intermediate stuff (Daryl, Hot Shot Cut, One-Hand shuffle, Charlier cut, Triple Charlier cut, different false cuts, etc..) and if you have any difficulties you can E-Mail Paul Himself and he'll be very glad to help you out at; http://www.victorymagic.com Great value for its price!!! -Cap Cuts by Cap Casino. Very good!!! and very well explained, intermediate to hard (like Sybill, Porcupine, etc.) see preview at http://www.expertmagic.com and there you can also download for FREE the explanation videos for the BRS (Blind Rotational Sybil) and the Z-Cut. -The Art of Card Manipulation (volume 1, 2, and 3) by Jeff McBride. Very Good and Very well explained, simply go on any magic-shop website to check what is explained on each volume http://www.daytonamagic.com You can't go wrong with these also. -There is also the whole Daryl's Encyclopedia of Card Sleights, but each volume has only a few flourishes, so the whole set is rather expensive, but it offers so much more... Hope it helps, if you have other questions just fire away!!! Ronnie Lemieux Montreal Canada

Also there are a couple teaching CDs for your computer that are very nice, limited edition, numbered and signed by Jerry Cestkowski and De'vo. Currently it is the only way to learn De'vo's AWESOME Cobra cut. Highly recommended!! You can see them on the http://www.superhandz.com site in the products and reviews section.
I bought them both! Brian Tudor's is the best of the above listed.... by far, and Jerry's book is the "bible," in my opinion, of flourishes. McBride is not too bad either. my 2 & 1/2 cents, Francisco |

I just got Jerry's "bible" and it's truly a great book! If you want to learn flourishes, then order Jerry's encyclopedia because it will keep you busy for years! I've ordered Devo's and Jerry's CD's but haven't received them yet. But if they're as good as Jerry's book that will be money well spent. They don't call Jerry "The Flourishman" for nothing! If you want to learn flourishes get his encyclopedia now!

WOW!! Today I just received a bonus CD from buying both of De'vos and Jerry teaching ones. It has De'vo's packet vanish, and some other stuff. Also instant access to the superhandz forum, with a password to a password protected topic.
I was totally shocked. They never said anything about this!! Rctigo, should be getting yours soon too... COOOOOL!!! Francisco |

VMC,
Can you do the one handed fan with both hands? If so, you can do an "S" fan. Not really any kind of massive revelation or anything, but it's kinda cool looking. |
