I am interested in hearing experiences with Sense-ational Perception. I am thinking about buying it, but I have some reservations. Your experiences may help me decide.

I have used a device similar to this (although not this) for a long while. It has 4 channels which is much better and easier to code.

I would not recommend Sensational Perception, there are much better things out there, at least better packaged. One word... "Discreet deliveries".

I would not recommend it either.
Mine is resting on the shell...its not very "trusty" since it doesn't "hit" always..

HMmm, it doesn't sound to reliable then....
Mine is exactly the opposite, it's range is stupid! more than I will *ever* need. |

Without saying too much about the device...I thought it's construction was very crude. You would do better to spend a little extra and get a fiber optic signal device (I think Stevens Magic has it). I had ordered a SP, but I was not entirely satisfied. But I am just one man...one opinion!!!!

It's total rubbish. It is crude and utterly unreliable. The fact that the maker couldn't even be bothered to enclose the bare circuit board and rationalised it by saying that it was 'better' that way says it all. It's a shame Shrink is no longer selling 7th Sense as it is by far the better product of this type.

Heres a question for the ages, would you use an electronic device to accomplish and effect that could just as easily be accomplished through other more reliable methods?

Icy: I guess it depends on what effect you are trying to accomplish. With a (gimmicked) blindfold you are right (or without)... you can duplicate some of the routines with an accomplice. However a device can meet extremely diffcult constraints (i.e. not being in the same room, or no fear of not being able to see your partner, or having your cohort have to be in front of you). I agree there are many valuable 2 person systems (see: Conspiracy, Conjurors Psychological Secrets. et al), however each (method) have their own benefits and liabilities. Being able to maximize the use of both is ideal. Sometimes our pride in our simple method (i.e. non electrical device) is just over concern with methods (magic-think), like whether the deck is gimmicked or not (I do prefer non-gimmicked)... To each their opinion!!!!
I just ordered a "7th sense" from Shrink. I truly believe this will do the job under any conditions. I can't wait until it arrives. As I said in an earlier post, I had some ideas for some routines, but had to postpone them (after I saw the construction of the Sensational Perception). I sent it back and have been waiting to find a device more worthy of use.... Sean Waters |
