Guys,
I just ordered this item from Richard and was wondering if anyone could elaborate on it if they have it....I could not resist it after hearing from Richard personally via email, and reading the description. I also got his "Mother's Companion" for you know what...thats right, Big MAMMA! Any thoughts....does it work for you? Best, Paul h. feel free to email me with thoughts...paul46@cox.net I can't believe that not one person has this effect... I hope the reason is because the effect is THAT GOOD! Fingers crossed... No Worries. If its by Richard Busch, then in my opinion its an almost definite buy without even looking at the product!
Thanks! Scott B.

Folks, think for yourselves! This has been around a long while and if no one is talking about it and no one seems to know anything, might that not tell you something?
After several years, I've come to the conclusion that is precisely how a product by a generally talented person that doesn't meet the their usual standards is panned by folks who don't want to hurt a friend's feelings. For example, some of Cassidy's products/ebooks(lets not get into his business practices but without doubt he is one of the greatest thinkers on mentalism of our time)have been purchased by folks, myself included, that agreed they were no where near his usual quality. And that is putting it kindly. By the way, I'm not saying for a moment Richard's deck is bad. I have no idea as I have never seen it or heard anyone who has talked about it. That is precisely the point. I always see this as a cause for concern. Their are parallels in all of the arts and probably other areas if you think about it. Think about what often happens when a movie that is a stinker but has a wonderful star or cast comes out. You don't hear anything about it. I'm just taking a stand against this hero worship that sometimes blinds us to the realities that even the most talented amongst us market things that aren't always great. Richard's Peek Wallet (the name escapes me) comes to mind. One or two of his booklets are not exactly the bees knees, though since they are by one of the better minds in our field, you can still depend on some pearls of wisdom. And just because one (or even many) of the "names" endorse a product you still need to be careful. I know of an instance where someone with a reputation for a lot of integrity wrote his blurb for someone's book without even reading it. Another time I read a rave of a blurb that was taken totally out of context. I know this because I was the one who informed the person whose blurb was "abused" what had happened. These things go on and we need to be more realistic. My suggestion is to contact Richard. He is very approachable and you are more likely to get a better idea of at least what you are dealing with. Good Luck, Bill P.S. I can say from personal experience that Mother' Home Companion is worth every penny! You'll have fun with this one for sure. |

About me or the poster's thinking? The fact of the matter is, very few people have my peek deck and those that do may not visit the Café too often. There is no mystery here to have to invent solutions for and vent about. Neither I (nor a dealer) have ever advertised it and I am not now, having only a few left of the few I prepared. I demo & sell some at lectures, always offer them to my private students, and recently put it on my site where I list even my out of print and unavailable material. That's about it. No ads. No promo. No mystery. No friends lying. No hero worship. And *none* of the above political agenda. That's not me. Never was. Never will be. And people who actually know me know that. |

Liz and I were standing in Richard's dining room and
Richard said, "let me show you something with cards" then proceded to completely blow me out of the water with this thing. Very direct and to the point. Yes, Richard is my friend and I'm not lying. That was my perspective of the trick. For the record, I do not own the deck nor do I know how it works. Ted (Leondo) |

Richard, my comment was not directed to you but the incessant hero worship that places like the Café seem to contribute to. That and people not taking into consideration why they don't know about a product. Realize I have a much broader base than the Café to have heard or not heard about a product and why this is often so. Based on Ted's description, I have all the better reason to know that this isn't one of those cases. Also, I wanted to encourage folks to contact the creator. Most, like you, are very open and approachable.
At the very least, I've caught your attention! Haven't had a response to an email in a long time. Hope all is good. Bill |

What's the advantage of using this deck instead of a standard m****d deck if it's not examinable?

Man advantages, main one being that the m******gs are huge.
Why does everyone need things examined?
