I have made my own Magic Table out of a refrigerator top door. It is very light, but also very sturdy. I removed the plastic lining so just the foam insulation is there. I also put a handle on it. For the legs I put threaded inserts on all 4 sides and made L shaped legs out of furring strips then drilled holes in the tops and when needed screw the legs to the top and it only takes 2 minutes to set up. I then drape a cloth over the whole thing.
I am thinking of adding some kind of well or servante to the table but need help or suggestions. The local club members have given me all types of complements on the table. The top of the refrigerator is black. They all suggested painting the legs black. Which I have done. Please help with suggestions. Thanks Tony C |

repairman36,
Have you thought of going to a metel shop and getting a piece of sheet metel cut to the size you think would work. For example, 6" by 6". Measure the thickness of your table and have a flang bent up on a metel brake that amount to 90 degress. Put a couple of panhead screws in the edge of the table. Drill two holes in the flang that you just bent, to just fit over the panhead screws. And just hang it on the two screws. Then either paint it or cover it with felt or something to your like'n. Also have you thought about making a wire frame and covering it with some kind of fabric? But that might not be surdy enough. I am sure there is a way to do it. This is just a couple of ideas to think about. Russ

I have a sturdy fold up music stand. It was about 50 bucks. It works pretty well.

Ok I took a piece of MDF and made 2 squares about 45*45 cm I also made 4 small legs and got my self a chromed leg for a office table and two holders for it. I fixed the holders to the center of the boards and glued and fixed the small leg pices to the other side. I decorated with formica that looked like black tainted wood, and glitter trimmings to the bottom board and a velvet like surface to the top board which also got formica on the back.
