I got to watch a promotional copy of this the other day (it's not out yet), killer stuff!!!!!!
Reed does a great job in teaching what is a basic coin move, but is actually avoided by many people (myself included). I honestly feel that by practicing Reed's method, I can classic palm with more confidence. The DVD is hosted by Reed McClintock & Curtis Kam, with a killer bonus effect by Steve Dobson. Very well done!!!!!!!!! Ichazod |

Yeah, how did you see much less know about this item that has not even been announced by it "official" producers or distributers yet?
Nothing like pre-release publicity... when posted by gossips.

Reed's been talking about doing this for ages. Great news that it's finally going to happen. Curtis Kam and Steve Dobson are an unexpected and welcome bonus.

Jon, There were clips of this dvd at the end of Curtis' "The Rat Pack" dvd, as well as clips of the up comming "Palms of Steel" dvds. I figured since Ichazod saw the dvd, he might know the release date. Best, Joe

Jonathan,
My sources tell me that preview copies may have been leaked out to certain individuals close to The Magic Bakery, for their review and comment. Just who these people are, and how they were selected is a secret, of course, but I assume they are folks who might have an interest in a DVD teaching a new way to learn the classic palm. Thanks for your review and comments, Ichazod. Happy palming!

Well, as some might know who have been around here a while, I used to be the assistant manager here. Also, Steve is an old friend of mine, as is Reed.
I'm not sure of the release date, sorry. Ichazod |

While we are contemplating our various options for distribution of all our products, The Magic Bakery is in the process of sending PROMOTIONAL COPIES of Reed McClintock's Classic Palming with Coins to a very select few BETA TESTERS. These lucky few are in for a real treat as they see first hand Reed's unique method of helping those who are having trouble, learn to classic palm coins. The disc covers everything you can imagine including handling single coins, multiple coins and various sized coins. We have not decided on the exact release date yet, but will announce this in the very near future.

I, too, received a promo copy of the DVD. It will be of great help for those that are CLASSICALLY Palm challenged. Reed's teaching on the multiple coins and control to drop singles and doubles is just awesome. There is a great tip for the muscle pass too.
The DVD production is "state of the art" to which Steve Brooks must be complimented. The "bumpers" and the graphics are very inviting. The whole package will be quite valuable for those that feel they have to improve their Classic Palming. Regards, Paul Green |

Steve offered me the opportunity to look at the product on a pre-release basis.
This video offers an encouraging and informative tutorial on both using the concealment and how to practice using the concealment. This is a product I can recommend. Those who aspire to make their coin magic better in general and who wish to perform routines where they need to manage more than just a couple of extra coins will find this tutorial useful.

I got to see the DVD as well.
Obviously, the best target market for this DVD will be those who do not use or have problems with the Classic Palm. It is hard for me to personally test the concepts Reed teaches because I can palm and muliple palm coins already. The real test is for those who do not Classic Palm currently. I do think his ideas are very sound. Of course watching Reed palm coins will not make you be able to do it, that will still come with practice, but he gives some good ideas for you to try. I particularly thought that his teaching on how to learn how to release one coin at a time from a stack of coins was pretty interesting, and make a lot of sense. The DVD is not for those looking for a bunch of coin routines or applications, but for those looking for a very detailed tutorial on this specific topic. It is a very detailed tutorial on the subject and should be on your list, especially if you want to learn how to use the classic palm with multiple coins. Reed is known for magic that uses multiple palmed coins. |

I am also one of those to whom Steve saw fit to send a promotional copy of the DVD. Reed does an excellent job of teaching the classic palm. He shows how to use it and how to integrate it into a routine. More important, he shows how someone who has problems classic palming can learn to do it.
He discusses variations in hands and how to overcome various problems. He also discusses various misdirectional points in using the classic palm. But the most important thing to me was that Reed explained that he'd had trouble classic palming, and had, in fact, avoided learning it. Then he figured from conversations with other magicians that it must be important. So he worked out a method that helped him learn to do it. Now he has passed this on to the rest of the "classic palm challenged." I will recommend this to anyone who has trouble learning the classic palm -- or who just wants to learn to do it in the first place.

What else can I say that hasn't already been mentioned before me? I was also given a pre release copy and I highly reccommend it for anyone wanting to learn the classic palm. Great instruction, incredible quality as far as product is concerned and overall great job in general! Great job Steve, Reed and everyone who worked on the DVD!

Seven reviews, and I'm still waiting for someone to say that the best part of this disc is the deep and insightful interview section.
Or did anyone notice that in the credits we included the exact location of the description of the Malini subtlety in Bobo's? Check it out, it's there!
