I found this post on another forum:
De'vo Join Date: Nov 2003 Location: Denver Posts: 1,438 GoodBye to ALL - from De'vo vom Schattenreich -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Goodbye to all I decided to post this a day early... Due to personal reasons I am leaving the United States and going back to live permanently in Germany. I have also decided to shut down my store and Handlordz website on 1 July 2005. My Superhandz forums will remain open for the members, however I will not be present. My email addresses will also be obsolete. The XB DVD is my final offering to the public XCM community. I will finish De’Ring since I am under contract to do so, however that will be the last public/commercial project. I am going to concentrate on the Ulmen Trials and training, as well as creative development with several of the underground German/European XCM groups, projects, and individuals. I am not quitting XCM, in fact I am going to focus on the art more than ever before! All the public activities from the internet and making commercial DVDs have taken away valuable time from myself and my family. I also feel like I have drifted away from the core of the underground community, and it’s time to go back where it all started from. I came to America to publicly push the art of XCM as it’s own art form, and help others learn and “flourish”. I believe I have accomplished my goals…. With that I would like to GREATLY thank Brad and the [edited] team for all the tremendous support you all have given me! All XCMers should be grateful to you for your many contributions to our art form to include the fabulous black decks, and spreading the word of XCM through our products and videos. It has been a wonderful partnership! I am no longer a moderator here at [edited], and will no longer be participating/moderating any forum to include the CTG forum… however all my posts and bonuses/videos will stay in the forums and products will continue to be sold as long as [edited] chooses to do so… I have also left a special message in the CTG forums for all those awesome people that I have come to really enjoy. A special thank you to everyone that has supported me on these forums over the past couple of years! It has been a fantastic experience! But it is time for me to move on. I wish all of you the best of luck in the future! I will not be able to be contacted for a long while, … however if you are looking for me, I’ll be training in Ulmen…. Thanks again, one last time to all, PEACE! Sincerely, De’vo vom Schattenreich __________________ "Think inside the box, everyone else is too busy trying to think outside it" |

Yes, it's true, De'vo's going back home, after a very succesfull stint with us. There, he will develop himself further as an XCM artist, and if he returns, he will surely return with greater skills then ever. I know there are many here who will miss him, and there are tears being wept at HL, but in reality, this is a great moment for XCM, as HL's leader is moving on to pursue greater hights.
I am away and will be so until late July. I will have a chance to read the forums, but I will be pressed for time, and unable to read every thread. If you feel a thread requires my attention, please PM me with a link. Thanks, and have a great summer. :

You have to hand it to De'vo, he is really committed to XCM, I mean, moving country just so he can develop his skills.
That takes balls and commitment. I for one, wish him good luck and hopes he returns with some new moves. |

WHAT! That sucks. One of the things I liked about De'vo was that he wanted people to learn (which is obviously apparent in his DVDs). Thanks De'vo. I wish you and your family the best.

De'vo came to America to show us what XCM is all about. It has gotten a lot of attention and that was his goal. Now that he has fufulled this goal he can come back to Germany where he belongs.
I hope to meet him later in Ulmen. |

Well everyone knows I’m not De’vo’s biggest fan. I’ve disagreed with a couple of his policies before. But I’d like to honestly wish him the best of luck. I’m glad to hear that he is putting his family first. It’s important to get your priorities straight, and it looks like he definitely has his in order. I am a sorry to see him disappear off the map. I think everyone can admit that he has really gotten a lot of people into cards. And of course no one deny that he brought a lot of exceptional material to the table. Best Wishes Bro Keep up the good work.

As long as he finishes De'Ring. I've been waiting forever for this to come out. There aren't even any screenshots or previews!
I guess now we'll REALLY never know if motions was real or not. |

My gosh...I cannot, absolutely CANNOT believe this is happening...I had dreams of going to Ulmen with De'vo, meeting him, having him as family, LIKE A BROTHER!!!! I actually am crying as of this moment. I feel as if we, all of hl, have lost a brother, our art will never be the same. HOWEVER!!! I refuse to stop this from me furthering myself in xcm, and I will still work harder than ever, and I promise that someday I will meet de'vo. whether it be in the physical or spiritual realm, we will meet, I promise...

It doesn't really suck that much. He was doing what he did to better the art. And he took time away from his personal life. Next time we hear from him his skills will of probably trippled. Cant wait for his future underground dvd's, they will be amazing!!

You're probably not going to get any of his underground dvd's. His last public one will be De' Ring.
Unless you find his *underground* German store, or meet him in Ulmen, or go into cahoots with some kartenmeisters, I doubt u'll even HEAR about any more DVDs. His book has been on sale. Why haven't we heard of it or seen it? He only sells it to professional German and Austrian manipulators. His DVD's like Extreme, and such, will probably be very exclusive. But don't hold me to any of this, I'm just saying, the last public DVD he will be makin is Ring. |

Ever here of the story of the Phoenix, you know the one about the bird. Take that into consideration when reading that post. I'm not saying he will rise again some time I'm saying it more metaphorically. (sp)
Somebody new will rise, don't know who because I don't, but have some faith. K |

Yeah, chill out Malakaneekeenai. It's not like De'vo's going to die or something. He's just in Germany with hisfamily and fellow kartmeisters.

Please...PLEASE do not try and make me sound like hes dying. obiously you do not share my sorrow, but I will not make fun of you for doing nothing, so please do not make fun of me for no reason. it is a dark day for all xcmers, and if I want to express my feelings about this, than please do not be so shallow as to taunt one for having feelings. I also want to add that the main reason I am sad is that I will have pretty much lost all possible contact and means of communication with de'vo for who knows how many years.

I'm not upset that he is leaving, I would much rather watch the buck twins or Brian Tudor
