Okay, this whole thread got to be so much fun, I actually DID the routine about Santa being an anagram of Satan.
You can read the working, handling, and routining in the Contributions section of Doug Byrd's Bizarre Magic.com http://www.bizarremagick.com/
Great site and well worth a look, for all you bizarrists!

Maynooth mentioned Old Nick and Saint Nick and I loved Peter's post about the egg bag. Hmmm, sawing a disobedient elf in half. Nahh.
May your fingers never lose their deftness,

May your tongue always lead them down the garden path...

Or try remembering the names of Santa's reindeer:
Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, War, Famine, Pestilence, and Death.

Don't forget about hunting season. You could build a routine around how you tracked Prancer through the frozen north pole forest, and mounted him over your mantle peice for Santa to see when he pops down the chimney. Smile

Gene Poinc (again) has an effect on his site (linked from http://www.online-visions.com/ ) with a forced slice of "bone", he then uses a shrunken head that cries blood to reveal the holder of the odd bone piece... He suggests using a shrunken santa head for seasonal performances, it's always struck me as a really twisted (but cool) idea.

I wanted to thank all of you for your thoughts on this subject.

You've all come up with some great ideas but how many of them will actually sell? Who do you go to with effects like these?
