When I was a teenager I would have loved to be able to do what I perform today in my shows !
I mean... Before asking a girl to dance with me I would have like to know what she thought about me ! Imagine the time saved and the number of slaps avoided !!! Today it's different... but too late ! I've been knowing what my wife think about me for a long time and I won't avoid slaps from her if I try to apply my psychic abilities with women ! Actually I could tell right now the number of women nuts about me in this room but it would be embarassing... wouldn't it be darling !.. So let's imagine a fiction : on these 5 pieces of paper are writen 5 different opinions a woman could have about a "candidate" with one very flattering for me. Mix them please and each of you take one. Read your paper and try to be impassive. There are a lot of methods to perform this effect. The goal is to eliminate all the papers with comments as in the modern way of performing Pseudo-psychometry and to keep the more flattering for the end. A climax like the revelation of the name of the "winner" could be welcome. With a rose as a gift to never forget an impossible romance... I do not give everything here but I'm sure you will find ideas. Best, Fred Darevil PS: obviously, choose carefully the place, the moment and the public to present this effect... The name could be writen on a little paper attached to the rose and switched with a PW paper... A comment is done with each eliminated paper. The flattering paper is chosen first and verified at the end only. It is more logical to chose the "right" women at the beginning !.. Exagerate the charmer's character with a romantic music in background can be funny. Who said mentalism has to be serious ? Best, Fred |

Just a thought...
If you are in a situation where everyone is coupled you could perform your routine as described but also do the reverse for the partners for comic effect e.g. The opinions written down for the men become more and more threatening or have pictures of more and more lethal weapons - starting with a clenched fist, ending with something ridiculous like a ballistic missile. Regards, Kris Sheglova
The above is all rubbish, except that which you chose to believe

Thank you Paul,
Actually it is a work in progress. Just an idea. I'm exploring the reasons why a spectator could be interested by psychic abilities other than adulate the amazing guy I am. I want to speak to them about problems they had in the past or they have in the present or... they will have in the future. Someone said that Stephen King is a popular author because his stories take place in the everyday world with ordinary people and places. He begins with ordinary stories then he introduces the fantastic or the horror. I try to do the same with mentalism. If I am a paranormal phenomena, an exception in nature : people are interested to see me as they are interested to see the biggest woman in the world in a circus, because they are not concerned ! But if I speak about psychic abilities as natural but ignored and then I speak about familiar subjetcts and show them how much it would be nice to do things with better results : they are fascinated. They hallucinate themselves doing these sort of things and understand how nice it would have been, for example, to know if Suzy was interested by them when they were in College. As I said : work in progress. Best, Fred |
