For an act I'm putting together, I plan to have a manora with 3 candles in it on my table and to pick it up and "split" it into 2 (as mention in one of my other posts) and I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can buy a manora that only holds 3 candles(they may only be sold in th Us but if not could someone tell me where to buy one)
Thanks |

All manoras hold 8 candles for each night of chanukah. therefor you cannot get and manora that holds 3 candles only. You might try looking at any home decoration store and ask for candle holders.
hope this helps graham fishman |

It might be better, in this instance, to build the prop made to your exact specifications.

This type of candleholder is called candelabra and can be found in upscale home ware and antique stores. For example you might try:
http://www.westernsilver.com/silver_hollowware/ 3_light_silver_candelabra.html A Google on Candelabra will give you other resources. However, for magical purposes you will have to have one fabricated (or fabricate one yourself).
The artist formally known as Mumblepeas!

I experimented with this for a talent show when I was younger. You can either pay a lot and create a shell to fit over an existine candelabra or have the metal shop at a local school or a local metalworker sand down two candelabras to fit against each other as one. For my own purposes I had magnets installed so it could be picked up as a solid unit and in the middle of my candles and silks routin I split the candelabra, once you've experimented with it, it is an astounding effect, best of luck. PM me if you need one fabricated, vegas is always looking for work, so there are a multitude of cost effective avenues lol.

Thanks everyone. Harry, thanks for the site, I checked it out and OMG those are expensive. Danny, I never thought about magnets, thanks, but if you read my other post (Black Hole)I was thinking about getting a black hole and having it behind me or where ever it would have to be with a black hole than grab it as I blow out the candles in the one I'm holding. I think I'll have to try magnets if I find a candelabra.
Thanks PS- Im still wondering if the black hole can be used for this |
