There is a lot of valuable thinking in this little book. The price is very good indeed, and the content is well thought out. There seems to be a sample of each type of mentalism in here, lie something for everyone, and in such a little booklet its great to see.
Well done Kuffs! Best, Kennedy

By the way I was just kidding about the comment from Mr.Kuhlman reviews...
Why! Kidding, because he don'T like my works so much, but only after he receive some email that made him change is mind! Same things for the famous (yeah right)Shane of online-visions... 2 out of 10 he gave me! It'S ok, you can't please everyone! But, his reviews is biased and it's probably because he don't' perform for real people? I say so, because he don't understand the thinking behind some of the ideas (for him some are obvious and confusing)and they became "bad" idea because of is lack of performing experience! He don'T even understand correctly the effect in the booktest! Anyway! I could care less for this kind of reviews, when you made a reviews on information you receive by email or because you don'T understand or don'T like the kind of ideas share! Or making such remark about some credits that is not there and not making sure this info is correct, it's a bit easy and non professional! What can I say more than... Look for all the pro's like... Banachek, Gerard, Osterlind, Lesley, Becker, Earle, etc.. Check for real performer that made some "real" reviews of my stuff's (DVD/BOOKLETS) and you will have a better idea of my works... The rest is only for making me smile I guest, and remind me that I should have stay away from any forum from the start! I gave myself 1 out of 10 for that! ;-) Humbly... Kuffs |

Hey Kuffs... quick question. The effect in question is "Under The Table". Did you ever see Gaeton Bloom do his version and are the 2 different?

I never saw Gaétan perform is routine, but I know that is routine use some kind of gimmick! But, like we can assume a CLEVER gimmick because it's from Gaétan ;-)
So my version can be call the "ungimmicked" and "imprumptu" version of this plot! David Acer check before writing the routine to be sure it was enough different to be publish...He mention to me that the first edition of Seven by did not mention the Bloom original idea and that was an error and this will be ad for further edition Thanks for asking! Well... Gaeton's does use a gimmick... but is not neccessary in the completion of the effect. Suffice to say, it adds to the illusion and makes the effect seem even more impossible.

I never say it's not the case?
And by the way, when I mention ungimmicked and imprumptu I was refering to my version with a signed card! Kuffs |

S.Segal Special user San Diego 949 Posts |
If your version can be done with a "signed" card, it would be different than Gaeton's. His uses a torn corner to verify that is it the same card...
Also, now that I think of it, Gaeton also added a very nice bit with the actual bottom of the table leg. Not sure what it is called but it basically the piece that keeps the table in contact with the floor. S.Segal |

Yes, in fact I think he use is famous "Intercessor" gimmick for his routine.
And like I mention before, my routine is a version of this wonderful plot! When I lecture in Europe last year, I was inform about the Bloom routine! By the way just to help with his name. It's not Gaeton, but...Gaétan! I guest it is the english way of prononcing is name that start all this? Kuffs |
|||||||||
S.Segal Special user San Diego 949 Posts |
Yes, Gaetan does use the intercessor, but any corner switch would work.
My mistake with the name... I think I was spelling it phonetically. As for your version, can the spectator actually pick up the card that is under the table leg? Or do you retrieve it, then hand it to the spec? S.Segal |
