B'wave, brainwave and the invisible deck...They all three have the same premise : the prediction of the playing card.
Invisble has an element of surprise (will it be that card?). Brainwave has an extra kicker. B'wave has two extra kickers, but limits the choice to only 4 cards instead of 52. Still I have the impression that it plays stronger??? Why? And... Do you have the same experience?

Done properly, B'Wave is stronger I think. I think that the multiple outcomes, tend to hide the method. Look at Overkill in AOA. It is a very simple force, although I do mine differently. The multiple outcomes tend to disguise the method.
In this case, Max has taken a very simple Equivoque principal and disguised it through multiple outcomes. People tend to remember the outcome rather then the steps leading to it. It is framed in there mind a impossible... |

Mystery,
It's not about the trick... ever. Having a good effect IS important, of course, but not nearly as important as the personality of the performer. Personally, I think that B'wave is one of the greatest packet tricks of the last century. Not as much for the prediction an sich, but for the CONFIDENCE it radiates when you deliver the last two surprises. For lay audiences it seems that you surely must have known what they were going to select, otherwise you wouldn't have taken the risks you took. I don't know if that makes sense. In any case, you must discover what works FOR YOU. Advice doesn't count nearly as much as experience, trial and error. Good luck ! |

I think that they are different tricks for different occasions. I made and perform The invisible deck as an opener for my close up show. Whit Haydin has discussed using the Brain wave as a stand alone routine or an out or xtra kicker for a card routine. While I don't own B'wave YET, (The emphasis is on the yet) I think that it makes an excellent strolling trick that is instantly resetable.

A while ago, David Eldridge posted his amazing patter for the B’Wave trick. I know it’s somewhere on these boards. If you like B’Wave, it’s definitely worth the search.

Brainwave can be used as transposition/teleportation effect!
Never ever have bad thought, you never know who is listening....

I think it's better as a prediction effect.
I never really used Twisted Sisters, but I think it uses the teleportation angle. Elliott |
