I really don''t know if there are Best Props for the street...I know the things that work for me are the Gags ...Because the gags hold the children and if you can get the kids to stay the parents will stay too...So festivals that I work in Europe are large and have a lot going on ...Edinburgh, has about 35 acts on the streets so getting a chance to perform is one thing and getting and keeping a crowd is another...I generally do something REALLY STUPID at the start just to shock them into stopping...I find that if i drop my pants it makes the show look bigger...No just kidding, I use one of those buzzing tubes(the sound maker from a rubber frog) ...It's in my mouth and i have learned to form words Like "Hell-o" with it and it sounds like I have been using Helium..This seems to get them in...Like a lot of street -workers I finish with the cups&Balls only I do a chop-cup routine...Simply because all the others are doing 3 cups and the chop is quicker and just as strong at the finish...Any trick that can be reset and ready to go as soon as you finish it, and doesn't take a long time to reset and can be worked from any angle,Without exposing it...Will work on the street...Cellini always told me if they get behind you ...work your moves closer to your body so the one's behind you Miss-out on the whole deal...I think every performer who wants to work the street needs simply to go do it!!! No one can say it will work out for you ...The streets are a great place to try new ideas...If it works on the street it will work any place...Jim Cellini has more or less retired because of his health...I understand he still does lectures at various magic club around the US...If you see he is going to be appearing and lecturing...Run don''t walk and get in that lecture ...It will be invaluable to you...I still out here in the TRENCHES slugging out a living...The world is at war...I'm still on the streets...Hey visit me on the web at http://go.to/piccard

Hey Tom,
I'm glad you visited this site. I'll be in Europe for a couple of months, starting in a few weeks. Drop me an e-mail, and let me know if you'll be around. Have a great new year, and I look forward to running into you. Not literally, of course. Eric
