Hey Guys,
This afternoon I decided to browse through some of my long lost magic books and brush up on some reading. I came across my copy of "Drawing Room Deceptions." Great book, great read! Came across some of my little post-its in the reformation chapter. Call me a stickler, I know there are much easier ways to accomplish the same effect, but for me, half of the performance is the challenge in learning it well enough, regardless of difficulty. Has a nyone ever attemtped to perform t his on the street? What sort of success have you guys had? Looking forward to your thoughts! Best, Patrick |

Patrick. I have been debating over just learnign this. I put it off all the time. I have that fear with it still that I will get caught.

I feel you Corey.
Its tought, infact, I would go as far to say its even the hardest "slieght of hand" I have ever learned. But the effect, God do I love it! |

I think it also is the hardest sleight for me. I feel like I'd prefer practicing card manipulations rather than practice the Reformation. But then again, no guts, no glory.

I didn't find it that hard to learn. The only part that I found hard was the second tear (the one that tears the card in half.) I just modified it a bit and it works for me. I've gotten great reactions from it. I always fear getting caught, but like Brianclementsvatua said "no guts, no glory". It's a great effect and well worth the time to learn it.

Man, I still find it hard to get the guts up to do his Oil and Water routine or his Waving The Aces It's the move down by the leg that terrifies me. LOL But I would love to learn it. I find that I have learned sleights and routines that I may never show, but just because I love the way they looked.
Hold your breath...make a wish...count to 3... and you'll be in a world of pure imagination
