Hello,
I don't know if this has been discussed before. (I did a search but couldn't find anything) But I was wondering how I could remove the loop from an invisible dove harness relatively fast. I want to produce the bird and when I'm putting it into the vanishing dove cage, remove the loop. I have the cloth covering the front of my vanishing dove cage throughout my act so no one will see me remove the loop. Any ideas? Also, what would be a good length for the loop? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. James |

James,
The length of the loop depends on what kind of production you are doing and what type of steal you are doing. The general rule is the shorter the loop the faster the dove will be at your hand (obviously). As for removing the loop, why would you want to do that? No one is going to see the loops at all. I use black wire and have had no problem at all with visibility whether they are on my hand or in the vanishing dove cage. However, if you are using monofilament or fishing line then that can be more visible depending on what you do to hide it i.e. sanding off the shine or spraying it black for example. I prefer wire and I know many professionals do but I guess it’s just a personal preference. I hope this helps some. Take care, Tim Kutch |

James, you can attach the loop to the harness with a small hook and eye type fastener. This will allow you to quickly remove the loop if you want. You just have to be careful when you set it up so that it isn't too loose. You need a snug fit but not too snug so you can't remove it. If you have Tony Clarks video's, he shows this.

James;
First of all how many birds have harnesses on and do you produce any without, I have two I use with harnesses and my Assistant takes those two off stage the remanding ones without harnesses go into the cage, like Dave said check out Tony Clarks harnesses they have a hook that disconnects. Abra |

James,
If you do a google search for Harlin Dove Harness, they sell a harness which works like an invisible harness but the l**p and l**e and not on the dove upon flight. If you desire more info, PM me and I will try to give you a little more info. Gets rid of the l**e dangling from the dove after the production. Just a thought. Tony |
