Ok - so I have the prop and just can't get my head around the concept and lecture side of things! Does anyone have some very different ideas on this kids show classic...? or... perhaps I am portraying the wrong message.?? I really can't perform a stealing routine, I have one already with jelly beans and sketch o' magic.
Can anyone shed some light, my brain is not ticking....... Thanks, Magic Mike |

David Ginn does a Forgetful Freddy reading routine where the head gets smaller and smaller and finally disappears in a television, so his mother replaces his head with a balloon. His new name was airhead and his mother finally convinced him to read...He started reading more often and eventually *BANG* his head grew back.
^ That us a VERY brief description. I use it in my Drug awareness shows as a guy who started doing drugs and it messed with his brain till it got smaller and smaller until finall it was gone...So his friends replaced his head with a balloon...etc. wait a sec...I think I am talking about another prop called Airhead Rudy...OOPS! Well you can still adopt similar patter to fit that prop as well. The only difference between the two is the shrinking heads that Rudy has...oh and the television vanishing frame. |

Routine I did was put different balloon face heads on it. This can be done with any "Forgetfull" effect. It especially works well with my Forgetfull Snowman. Check with any Qualatex Balloon Supplier. I use Larocks. They have 5" round balloons with faces such as:
Spiderman, Dracula, jack o lantern, a Disney Princess, a skull, frog, google eyed octopus, eyeball, pink cat face on a heart, alien with a helmet, and a snowman! And others! I blow up each one as a replacement for the head. I place it where the head should be and have the kids yell NO! And then let the air out of each one until we find the right head. The snowman head works well for the Forgetfull snowman. Then finish the routine in your favorite manner. This can add a lot of by-play, audience participation, and fun to the effect. Does anybody have any ideas on how to use this prop at a birthday party magic show? I know it works well in my reading show (Air Head Rudy)but I would like to know if I can use in my birthday party show?
BTW, I have the updated version from Smoky Mountain and this is a very nice prop and a great updated look. Thank you, -stephen |

Dan Wolfe has created what I believe is a fantastic upgrade for the air head rudy / Forgetful Freddy prop. The quality is typical Smoky Mountain and Dan is a good guy to deal with. I have this for my reading program... just wish I could get some ideas on how to use it in my birthday party show.
This is the second prop he has created for me and I can't say enough good things about Smoky Mountain Magic. -stephen |
