I am looking for a stage helicopter for an appearance illusion. I have many sources for builders experienced in building this kind of prop. What I am inquiring about is an already built, or used model.

Any information is greatly appreciated.

Call Willlie Kennedy. He's the best resource for this sort of thing. He buys used aircraft all the time from what I understand. I think he may be able to point you in the right direction.

Can I get a used submarine. I need one with power windows in case its hot when we get to the bottom of the ocean. Any help ?

Yes I did see the helicopter on the Auction.

Although it looks great, I'm not sure my client wants to pay for the entire illusion when he will be having one built. None of the pieces of the illusion for sale, other than the copter, could be used in my version.

I'm looking into actual junk-yard helicopters and having one gutted and repainted. I know a man who works with planes and apparently this would work. If it does, I'll be sure to make a post and alert my fellow illusionists as to what it cost and such.

Or you can travel through the junkyards of Arizona. Lot´s of old choppers there that would need only a hand paint to look as new. And the important part is "LOOK". Now, if you are actually thinking of flying it, that´s another matter. LOL

Why not try to a fiberglass fabricator to make you one. But of course it will be a dummy. All they need to do is put a metal frame inside it. And then build the body outside and over.
