During past threads, was there ever a consensus on which of Boguinia's methods was best for one man? I seem to come across two versions of Boguinia's brain child. Which is recommended for one man (no assistants, no offstage riggin')

I think I was particularly interested in Sean Bogunias "Ultimate Dancing Hank".

Anyone use any of his dancing hank effects? Any direction sure appreciated.

Cheers!

Huh? As far as I know, all of Sean Bogunia's dancing hank effects are one-man effects. The UDH is a beautiful effect but it will require a lot of work to make it look smooth and professional. If you are unsure about the effect, I believe you can purchase a video that goes through the explanation and workings of the various products. Then you can make an informed decision. Check Sean's site to be sure.

I own both the UDH & Impossible Hank 2.0. They are both excellent! Shaun makes high quality effects. The IH2 is much easier to use and can be tailored to your act. I use both in the same act. I play the guitar and the IH2 dances and follows the moves of the guitar as I play to rock music. Either will make a great addition to your act.

I own Impossible Hank 2.0 and I simply LOVE it. For my festival shows, it is the most ideal for me cause it can be performed surrounded and up close and in almost any lighting condition.

I also must say his products are VERY well made and come with a DVD for instructions that explains everything and how to do it. His shipping and sending policies are very fast and I highly reccomend any of his stuff for your act.

Now depending upon your act, that may determine what will work best for you in regards to which products in the dancing hank line, you will want to use.

Good stuff. You can also see a lot more on Sean's site. Just keep in mind that the version that is seen first on Ron's site is one that can not be done totally surrounded as it does have some angle limitations. It is best to see all 3 dancing hank options to determine which is best for you and your working conditions.

Hi Randy,

I own the UDH from Sean Bogunia and I completely agree with what magicman845 said about the practise. It took me a few weeks to get doin all of the moves but, a few months later, it is only now I think I can perform it smoothly and hopefully professionally. I am now using it in all of my stage shows and it gets great reactions. The UDH and his Impossible Hank are very different and each good in their own rites and they go well when routined together. Keep in mind what Kyle said "It is best to see all 3 dancing hank options to determine which is best for you and your working conditions."

Any more questions? Just PM me.

thanks

For my type of outdoor festival style shows, the Impossible Hank 2.0 is the most ideal situation for me as I can do it surrounded and in full lighting without having to worry about it. It also features 2 6-minute routines that can be programmed independently of each other. For my wife and I, we have one for the show and the other for when I do strolling magic. I can have it resting on my shoulder and have it dance anytime I want it to. Talk about a great way to attract a crowd at a strolling type environment or even at table hopping where you can talk about the place being so good that even the napkins are magical. It lends itself to many options.

For outside events, how does it (do they) act with a breeze?

Thanks

The Impossible Hank 2.0 would not be affected by a breeze. You can hold it in your hand, stand it on a table or have it sit on your shoulder. It is the most versatile. There are really no angle problems.
The UDH can be used with a mild breeze without too much trouble. I have used mine outdoors with a 10 mph wind and it was still ok, a little tricky but it still worked.

I like the look of the UDH but have not seen the H20 used. Is there video anywhere?

Kent:

Jim is right. I work with the impossible hank 2.0 outside and in direct sunlight, surrounded and with wind. It works fine and you will not have problems with it. For me personally, it is the most versatile of the 3.

I think you can see videos of all the effects on his website.

Hope this helps.
