Okay, don't get excited. I'm not announcing a release date or anything like that. I just want everyone to know that the project is nearing its end.
This whole project has been beieged with computer problems -- all of my own making. I lost my operating system because I fixed my computer when it wasn't broken. After that, in trying to preserve my files, I lost all of them. They were still there but my computer didn't know it. There were two weeks gone. I recovered them. Then I found that some of the translation I had done was not like the material in the book. I have had to start over, almost from scratch. That's the bad news. The good news is that I am grinding away at it steadily. I am trying to wean myself from the Café for a while. If you don't hear from me for about a month, it's because I'm working on the book. Take heart.

GLad to hear that the end is near. I'm interested in hearing opinions from other members on that book.

Borodin, fortunately, does read and speak English with very little difficulty. I sent him about 90 pages of the book this evening, and will send him some more in a couple of hours.

I finally reached the back of this month's Genii to find, much to my delight, an Adesso Verlag ad (I hope Bill doesn't mind me posting this here - I love the build-up):
Coming January, 2006 The long-awaited sequel to Sheherazade Borodin's Final Curtain. Can't wait. |

Bill was here in Nashville a couple of weeks ago and I got the chance to look through the German edition. After having spoken with him about some of the premises in the book, I can tell you that I'M SO EXCITED!! CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS TO COME OUT!!!
There...got that out of my system. Rick

Sadly, I've never seen Borodin live and in person (although I live only 50 km away). But I got a German copy of Final Curtain last summer and couldn't put it away until I was through! It's an amazing book! YOU WILL LOVE IT!!! Just in case somebody is wondering if it's worth waiting... It is!
Best wishes, Daniel P.S. Magixx, I'd be interested in your report, too |

Oh, I forgot to say something about the lecture. Actually, it was not as good as I expected.
Borodin didn´t perform any effects from his Sheherazade book, although he explanied some of his devices. He also told a little bit about story-telling magic.... and that was his lecture. For me the most interesting part was to hear his voice, which is amazing. I can imagine him on stage, telling his stories and seeing the magic happen - is must be wonderful. To be fair, he gave performance the day before the lecture. I missed this one. Magixx
