I am hoping that someone can provide a source for an ungimmicked moving table effect.
The version I am looking for is where the spectators surround the table, only touching with their hands or finger tips. PERFORMER DOES NOT TOUCH TABLE AT ANY TIME. Table is ungimmicked. Sort of like a Ouija Board effect with a table. I believe this is a very old effect so I am hoping it is in print somewhere. Thanks in advance to all those who can help! |

It's described in Psychophysiological Thought Reading by Banachek

This can also be found in Corinda's 13 steps and McGill's Psychic Magic. Or Google "table tipping" and find out how people not in the field do it (it still gets results.) Just so you know, it works best with a wobbly, lightweight table. Folding card tables are perfect.

All of the above sources are very good. I just want to add another one. In the book 'How to be a (fake) Kreskin' there is also described an more or less impromptu version of tabel tilting.

This effect is first written in geni nov issue 1936. I have used this for some time in my show, to my knowledge nobody else does this effect.

There's a book called "Come Good Spirits" which is devoted only to this subject, I think it was Eddie Joseph writing it (although that's just a guess, don't have my copy handy).

Like Hypnosis or pendulums. Tell them it's gonna do it till it does it.
