Cheers from Canada,
Yesterday was Canada day and there was a guy with a sign that read: "THE HALF FAST MAGICIAN" on Robson st. (our main strip) doing cups and balls Gazzo style, but he produced 9 lemons from the cups, and a melon from his hat.. then he pulled his own shoe from the hat! very funny to watch! the table was full of fruit, and his hat was full of money.. good job half fast.
Well then...

I'd love to see this guy perform his cups & balls.

Maybe that's the guy that gazzo mentions in his interview with Michael Ammar in Ammar's cups and balls book

There ia a phrase in the UK (maybe elsewhere as well) that goes along the lines "Don't over-egg the pudding". Essentially it means don't put too much of one ingrdient into a dish as it will effect the overall taste. Tranlated to other fields it's a good reminder not to overdo things.
Nine lemons is over-egging the cups and balls. Three cause surprise, six bring amazement which is a peak for the lemons, nine starts to descend rather than build. Just a personal opinion but nine, then a melon and a shoe is too much. Simon |

Does seem like a lot but I guess you'd have to see it to be sure.
to me 6 is too much. 4 seems perfect to me. just one more than the cups hold. works for me. frank

I saw this guy ,and the first 3 lemons appeared after the the first vanish of the balls, when they normally go back under the cup! and he said "look the balls are in this pouch!" and pulled the 3 red balls from the pouch! very funny.
Then he did the routine and appeared the 6 as usual...
Well then...
