Well, I haven't weighed it, but it's a very light fold-up table that has adjustable heights, for $20 at Home Depot. The legs x-fold like an ironing board, the table top is hard plastic, It's about 3 feet x 2 feet. Now I just walk into a gig with suitcase in one hand and table in other. Of course it has no shelves, but it is so much lighter than those suitcase tables. I put a nice colourful cloth over the table top and I'm ready to go.

I used folding tables in the past, made of thin masonite and aluminum. The size may be a little big for my present needs, but for some performers, these lightweight tables will take much of the tedium out of their setup. I prefer restaurant tray stands and tripod tables, because I don't need as much table space. But, some performers need the extra space. $20 sounds like a great price! Does the table look attractive?

Todsky, I went to my Home Depot and the only folding table they had was 6 foot long. Tried the homedepot.com and got a kit with legs for a picnic table. OK What is your table called? Is it available in the States or just Canada?

Thanks

It's called ENDURO Personal Table. made by GSC TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION in Champlain, N.Y. The model # is 2030-3. Bar code: 4441320301. I found it at a Home Depot in Montreal, but I have no idea if it's available in USA.
It can be adjusted to a height of 21, 24, 26 or 28 inches. The table top is 30''x20". It's a white, durable plastic. There is a phone number for more info: 1-800-671-6035. If anyone wants, I can email you a photo of the table.

I've seen something like this at BJ's, in Maryland. BJ's is a warehouse club store (like Costco and Sam's Club), for those of you outside their area. They have a good price on Bicycle decks and Sharpie's, too.

I picked up a new table at the local Lowe's today from Lifetime Products for about $20:

Looks like they have additional models available as well.

Geoff, that Lowe's table is the same as the one I got. It looks like they have some interesting variations there, tables with drawers, etc.

I picked mine up at Costco about a year and a half ago. Very useful. Highly recommend it.

Sounds great... now wrap a black bungee cord around the front edge so nothing rolls off or you can stick a card or sponge ball under it if you work outside.

thanks to D. Conn for that one.

Here is a nice table from the Lifetime Line on Amazon. Search Lifetime Tables on Amazon and a bunch of tables at reasonable prices come up.

Aluminum case on top of a keyboard stand is my choice.
Very High Tech looking and very inexpensive to replace.

Link for a keyboard stand.

I use a $30 trunk (from Target) and a $25 waiter's tray stand (restaurant supply) for my kid shows. I have a $19 cymbal stand (Guitar Center)with a homemade threaded adapter that fits into a $2 pipe flange on the bottom of a $3 square of plywood that tucks into the lid of the trunk. This acts as my side table and is covered by a fancy cloth ($4)so it looks "magical". The trunk sits on the tray stand with the lid up, facing the audience, where my sign can be seen. The sign panel attaches with velcro so I can change between my name or my clown name. Everything goes into the trunk when I'm done and I shut the lid. I can do balloons or face paint without worrying about the kids getting into the trunk. For around $85 (including the cloth) I can take one trip from the car and carry TONS of stuff!
The easy way is seldom the best way.

If you are just looking for a folding table to hold a case Wal-Mart in the camping section a lightweight aluminum table that weighs almost nothing. I have been using this for 2 years now.

Hmmm, I'm right next to sporting goods! I'll have to ask about that! Thanks!

I found my table (I think it's the same one, piled up with stuff at the moment) at BJ's. You might be able to find them at CostCo or Sam's Club too.
