I stumbled onto David Barron's website by accident while researching NLP and Hypnosis techniques to use in my performances. David’s website contain 22 FREE insightful mp3 downloads, while they last, and other reasonably priced NLP products. So far, I have purchased and highly recommend three of his NLP products: NLP Whammy, Embedded Commands Mastery, and Outrageous Self Confidence Using NLP. I haven’t had the time to delve completely into the purchased products, however, here’s a short review of two products.
NLP Whammy This product is composed of three components: Elicitation, Anchoring and The Whammy. I have chose Bob Cassidy’s Q & A 2002 routine to close my performance. Q & A 2002 is a Q & A routine framed around his brilliant version of the Fourth Dimensional Telepathy routine. After watching the comedy blockbuster movie “Hitch” DVD starring actors Will Smith and sexy Eva Mendes, I wanted to elicit a state of passion or romance based the past experience of a female participant, but, didn’t know how to achieve that state. NLP Whammy details a simple yet effective way to elicit whatever emotion you’re trying to achieve by asking a few questions. Embedded Commands Mastery This product surprised me the most because apparently David Barron has some experience with mentalism techniques. He demonstrates a verbal card force at the beginning of the course to prove the effectiveness of embedded commands. That’s quite interesting because I purchased his product solely for the purpose of improving the effectiveness of my script. Also, he recommends a British website that supposedly teaches Derren Brown styled magic using NLP techniques. A question for the Brits, any of you familiar with D. Shuttleworth’s http://www.subliminalperusasion.co.uk website? Free Tele-seminar audio MP3 downloads All 22 free downloads have something of interest for the mentalist. I found his tele-seminar “The Cube” to be very interesting coupled with a ton of presentational ideas. Here’s the blurb for The Cube: “Here, one of my best students, Jedi Dale (not his real name), reveals a very powerful and interesting "light hearted social experiment" that he uses called "The Cube" to initiate conversations with strangers and covertly find out things about them that they would never say under any other situation. It's truely amazing! Using "The Cube" you'll discover how someone thinks of themselves, their relationships to others, their inner feelings about the world. Jedi Dale has taken this simple idea based on a book "The Cube" by Annie Gottlieb (Click here to Order it on amazon.com) and taken into a powerful area of covert influence and persuasion.” The Cube http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/det......n=507846 David Barron

I used to go there and it was very interesting. I learnt many things. However, if you subscribe to the newsletter, beware: you will receive MANY of them per week.

I have the David Shuttleworth ebooks. They are simply fantastic. A lot of Derren Brown type material for stage, close-up, walk around, NLP, etc. He is great at writing and explains a lot about hypnosis. I bought Geoffrey Ronning's course in Hypnosis, cost about $1200 or so. This ebook (and buy the package) is far better and cost ony about $40-$50. I love it.
I've always wondered about NLP and it is clearly explained here. |

Josh,
How does David Shuttleworth ebooks compare with Kenton Knepper's material? NM

Interesting stuff.... I've always used the Cube over any cold reading because the cube actually gives usuable results 99% of the time, it is very dead on at least in most western cultures(haven't tried it on others, but I can see where many metaphores might get mixed up over cultures).
very very good tool for giving someone a "reading" or just a fun 5-10 minutes. |

Where do you get the Cube?
For those who believe, no explanation is necessary; for those who do not believe, no explanation will suffice.

The cube is a book. amazon has it. the :other cube: is your cube, a representation of how you are.
Somebody once asked me a few questions 1) What's your favorite color 2) Imagine an animal whatever comes to mind 3) Describe a body of water 1) Don't have one, depends on mood and circumstance 2) A bird, usually a bird. (Sometimes an octopus, did not tell them that though) 3) My cup of coffee. Hot and there when I want it. Several seconds of stunned silence followed. And some folks wonder why I have fun in the bizarre section.
...to all the coins I've dropped here

Don't read this if you are going to check it out somewhere. But if you have then...
The cube... It another psychological interpretive drawing. (see House-tree-person test, google it). These have been around for some time, nothing new. BUT, I agree that these types of things can be very usable because they cannot be refuted... in other words, you have to argue with your own drawings. They also bypass all the psychic explanation... It provides a more believable reason for the insights. I use this type of thing for a design dupe/cold reading routine. Sean |
