Look no further than Hocus-Pocus.

The Nelson Cups can be yours for $3,550.

They are the most expensive set of cups (purchased new, via retail) I have seen.

I have a one of a kind Chop Cup I will possibly sell for $15500. When I return from my Florida swamp land I will gladly receive all offers.

If I spent $3550 on this, my wife would perform color changing knife--white to red.

I do not know anything about the matierials for this set of (3) cups. That is why I am not commenting or reviewing their quality - only mentioning the price.

They are made by Colin Rose.

Mark, if Dai Vernon was resurrected and handcrafted the cups from solid platinum I wouldn't pay $3550. $3549.95 yes, but I have to draw the line somewhere. Smile

Based on the "theme" of these cups, final loads should be ships in bottles (small, of course).

UMmmm, anyone else think it's weird that Palmer hasn't chimed in on this yet?

I'd also like to add that cups that expensive are ridiculous. How ridiculous? So ridiculous that I can't think of something funny or witty to say about them

What do you use as a final load to that kind of cup? A gold nugget? Or maybe the hope diamond?

I want to see Bill Palmer's review before I buy them. I really need to know if they will take three balls in the attic.

Apparently the cups are made from oak that was part of the lead ship under the leadership of Admiral Nelson over 200 years ago. Also it was mentioned that much of the wood used in these ships was often recyled from older ships so the wood may be several hundred years old. There will only be 10 sets, I believe, but each unique.

For $3,550 I thought maybe they were made from Strad violins.

I just re-read the HP description of the cups; it is a long description that spends very little space discussing the nature of the wood - where it came from and its historical significance. The significance can be easily missed, especially for people not familiar with Victory Oak.

It is also interesting that an eastern magical effect is being coupled with a British historical theme.

Just go to hocus-pocus.com and search on the word "nelson" or "colin".
