Hello. I'm in the process of moving to the Rochester, NY area. I'm looking for information and especially opinions on magic clubs and/or magic shops which might be available in Rochester, NY. The IBM lists a Ring 4 which meets Sep-June once per month in member's homes. SAM lists club #47 meeting Sep-Jun in a local restaurant. I can, of course, contact IBM and SAM for more information, but I'm hoping some of the Café members have experiences and opinions on these clubs or others which may be in the area that I am not aware of. Also, are there any informal clubs or gatherings for magicians in the area?
The Rochester Yellow Pages list two magic shops: 1) Empire Magic on 99 Stratford Lane and 2) Mike's Magic Merriment in Penfield, NY. I will eventually get find these to check them out, but would appreciate any opinions on them or recommendations for other stores in the Rochester, Buffalo, or Syracuse areas.
